You get exactly 5 official visits across all schools combined. Schools pay for travel, lodging, and meals. Use them wisely.

Verbal ≠ Binding
A verbal commitment is NOT a contract. You can decommit anytime. Only the National Letter of Intent (NLI) is legally binding — and only for one year.

Dead Periods = No Contact
During dead periods, coaches cannot have any in-person contact — anywhere. No campus visits, no home visits. Written communication still allowed.

Early Signing Period (Dec)
FBS has an early signing window in early December. Committed seniors can sign their NLI before the traditional February signing day.

FCS Contacts Earlier
FCS schools can contact recruits starting June 15 before junior year — 2.5 months earlier than FBS. If you're not getting FBS attention, respond to FCS coaches quickly.
